Job summary

HLBMA LLC is seeking an entry-level Facility Operator I to support daily operations of utility and environmental systems in a 24/7 battery manufacturing setting. You will monitor equipment, follow SOPs, and assist with routine maintenance under supervision to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

The role emphasizes 5S standards, data recording in EMS/CMMS, and teamwork within the utility crew, with a development path toward Facility Technician positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational certificate or associate degree in mechanical/industrial maintenance preferred.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing environment; 24/7 manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Basic electrical knowledge or experience; awareness of electrical safety and common electrical hazards.
• Understanding of 5S methodology and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation and monitoring of utility equipment under supervision.
• Perform routine checks on temperature, pressure, and flow; report abnormal readings.
• Follow SOPs for input tasks, lubrication, and simple adjustments.
• Record operating data and maintenance activities in EMS/CMMS.
• Support housekeeping, material handling, and cross-training within the utility crew.
• Participate in safety briefings, 5S audits, and quality checks.
