Job summary

HLBMA LLC in the United States is seeking an entry-level Equipment Engineer I to support installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment in a lithium-ion battery production facility.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Controls, and Process Engineering to drive reliability, reduce downtime, and implement mechanical, automation, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Alternate technical training or military background may be considered.
• Internship or co-op experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
• Prepare maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist in PLC updates, automation improvements, and process optimization.
• Analyze performance metrics (OEE, downtime) to drive improvements.
• Mentor technicians and operators on equipment operation and troubleshoot.
• Ensure safety and compliance with SOPs and LOTO procedures.
