Job summary

The Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose, CA seeks an entry-level Technician I to support the Public Works Department. Under supervision, you will assist with maintenance and operation of facilities, equipment, and systems, helping keep our community safe, functional, and welcoming.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8 hours) with occasional weekend work. Ideal candidates have basic maintenance experience, are reliable, and eager to learn, follow safety

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Experience using basic tools and following instructions.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Operate and maintain basic maintenance tools and equipment.
• Support inspection and report maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with work orders and project tasks as assigned.
• Support senior technicians and management.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
• Uphold safety and create a safe environment for staff and residents.
