Job summary

The Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose, CA seeks a Craft Technician III to lead facilities compliance, vendor contracts, and maintenance planning within Public Works.

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance & Operations, you will decide what to self-perform vs contract, manage budgets, and ensure safety standards across club amenities.

This exempt, full-time role requires hands-on technical work and strong coordination with vendors, residents, and staff to maintain premium experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property maintenance or facility management experience.
• Experience with multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical).
• Ability to develop preventive maintenance programs and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage complex maintenance projects with budgeting.
• Assess facility conditions and decide on in-house repair vs. contract.
• Oversee vendor procurement, RFPs, and contract terms.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance across amenities.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance plans and annual budgets.
