XL Specialized Trailers in Manchester, IA is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator for the 2nd shift. This Regular Full-time role pre pares and processes parts, reads blueprints, sets up machines, and ensures quality while maintaining a safe, efficient production flow.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic shop math, and the ability to read and follow specifications. Overtime including Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Determine sequence of operations by studying blueprints, specifications and work orders.
• Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides and turntables.
• Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls.
• Produce parts by locating and marking reference points on workpiece and aligning it against stops/guides or with dies.
• Maintain specifications by observing operations, inspecting parts and adjusting controls.
• Resolve production problems by altering process to meet specifications and notifying supervisor for resources.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain stock by checking and replenishing inventory as needed.
• Deliver components to work centers and finish products; document actions.
