Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Milford, IA is seeking Production Technicians to support welding, fabrication, machine operation and material handling on the 2nd shift. This temp to full-time role offers weekly pay and hands-on, varied daily tasks in a manufacturing setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read blueprints, perform basic math, and lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three or more years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding activities while meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Set up and operate lasers, press brakes, and other fabrication equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move materials and finished products.
• Complete quality inspections and verify products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot routine production issues and perform machine setups/changeovers.
• Support multiple departments and production areas as business needs change.
