Job summary

Kiewit Equipment Services is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support construction and mining operations nationwide. You will help plan, schedule, budget, and manage a fleet of equipment to improve reliability and maintain preventative maintenance programs.

The role blends field and office work with opportunities for relocation based on project needs. The position emphasizes safety compliance, logistics, and proactive equipment management to support project success and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate AS/BS in Diesel/Automotive Technology or related field.
  • 1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Material handling and procurement.
  • Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
  • Inspections of equipment and parts.
  • Logistics management and communication.
  • Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Planning and paperwork processing for critical lifts.
  • Use reliability and failure analysis data to improve equipment availability.
  • Establish communications between all levels of supervision and management.
  • Support of craft maintenance technicians – ordering parts, manage inventory, schedule crews, and manage quality and safety.
  • Perform specialty projects as needed.
