Job summary

Kiewit is hiring an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support regional construction and mining operations. You will help plan, schedule, budget, and manage a fleet of equipment to improve reliability and uptime.

The role involves field and office work, with potential relocation depending on project needs. Immediate start date is available, and you will work within Kiewit's Equipment Services group to support project success.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate AS/BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• 1+ year of experience with equipment is preferred.
• 1+ year of experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to relocate/travel.
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
• Knowledge of CAD modeling programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Planning and paperwork processing for critical lifts.
• Use reliability data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Support craft maintenance technicians with parts and scheduling.
• Assist on specialty projects as needed.
