Job summary

Kiewit Equipment Services is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support construction and mining operations with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reliability of the fleet. The role focuses on improving reliability and implementing preventative maintenance programs across projects.

The position offers opportunities to work across the United States, with exposure to both office and field environments and potential travel/relocation as required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in diesel/automotive tech, heavy equipment tech, mech. eng. tech or construction mgmt.
• 1+ year of equipment experience preferred; willingness to relocate
• Willing to work in office and field environments; travel as required

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Material handling and procurement
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation
• Inspections of equipment and parts
• Logistics management and communication
• Long/short-range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Prepare for critical lifts with planning and paperwork
• Use reliability data to increase equipment availability
• Maintain communications between supervision and management
• Support maintenance technicians with parts, scheduling, and quality/safety
• Work on specialty projects as needed
