Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support regional construction and mining operations. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization and reliability of an equipment fleet, with emphasis on preventative maintenance and long-term asset performance.

Starting date is immediate. The position may require relocation to project sites and field work in diverse environments, balancing office and field responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Related engineering or technology degree required or preferred.
• 1+ year of equipment experience preferred.
• Experience with planning, scheduling and budgeting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Planning and paperwork for critical lifts.
• Use data to improve equipment availability and reliability.
• Coordinate between supervision and management.
• Support of craft maintenance technicians including parts, scheduling and safety.
• Assist with specialty projects as needed.
