Job summary

Kiewit Equipment Services in the United States is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support Construction & Mining operations. You will help plan, schedule, budget, and manage a construction equipment fleet with focus on reliability and preventative maintenance programs.

The role requires travel and relocation as needed, with opportunities to work in both office and field environments across various sites. A relevant AS/BS degree is preferred and prior equipment experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate AS/BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• 1+ year of equipment experience and related planning experience.
• Willing to travel and relocate as required, with ability to work in office and field environments.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Material handling, procurement, and inventory management.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and cross-functional communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Prepare for critical lifts with planning and paperwork.
• Use reliability data to improve equipment availability.
• Coordinate between supervision and management.
• Support maintenance technicians with parts, scheduling, and safety.
• Handle specialty projects as needed.
