Job summary

Kiewit Equipment Services is seeking an Entry Level Equipment Engineer to support Regional Construction & Mining operations. This role focuses on planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization and reliability of a construction and mining equipment fleet. The start date is immediate.

The position involves long/short range planning, coordinating with field teams, and implementing preventative maintenance programs across sites. Travel and relocation are required as projects move.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
• 1+ year of experience with equipment preferred.
• 1+ year of experience with equipment planning, scheduling and budgeting preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
• Strong work ethic, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to work in office and field environments.
• Knowledge of CAD modeling programs is preferred.
• Ability to access construction sites or equipment yards in various climates.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Material handling and procurement.
• Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation.
• Inspections of equipment and parts.
• Logistics management and communication.
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling and budgeting.
• Planning and paperwork for critical lifts.
• Use reliability and failure data to increase equipment availability.
• Communicate between supervision and management.
• Support craft maintenance technicians with parts, scheduling and quality.
