Job summary
Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is seeking an entry-level Environmental Geologist/Scientist to support field assessment work and remediation projects across Louisiana from our Baton Rouge area office.
You will collect samples (groundwater, soil, sediment, air) and analyze data to evaluate environmental conditions under state and federal regulations. You will collaborate with licensed professionals, prepare technical reports, and assist in developing environmental management
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in environmental science, geology, or related earth sciences.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic understanding of environmental consulting industry
Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and collect soil, water, and/or air samples for lab analysis.
- Assist in preparation of environmental assessment and regulatory compliance reports.
- Analyze laboratory and field data using various software tools and methodologies.
- Work under a senior professional and participate in team meetings and project planning.
- Use field water level data to create groundwater contour maps/flow nets.
- Assist with well canvasses, well searches and sensitive receptor evaluations.
