Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is seeking an entry-level Environmental Geologist/Scientist to support field assessment work and remediation projects in Florida from the Tampa area office.

The role involves collecting soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air samples, working with senior professionals, and contributing to technical reports for regulatory agencies. Florida-specific coursework and environmental sampling experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in environmental science, geology, or related earth sciences.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic understanding of environmental consulting industry.
• Florida field sampling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and collect soil, water, and air samples.
• Use field sampling equipment and maintain quality standards.
• Assist in preparing environmental assessment and regulatory reports.
• Analyze laboratory and field data with software tools.
• Support senior staff and coordinate field events.
• Oversee subcontractors during field activities.
• Contribute to site rehabilitation plans and environmental management strategies.
