Job summary
Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our Resilience Environment team in New Jersey and the Tri-State area. The position blends field and office work, with about 50–90% field time and regional travel.
You will support PMs and TMs in site characterization, investigation, and remediation, prepare reports and documents, oversee subcontractors, and maintain health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Environmental Science, Geology or related field.
- Preferred OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training.
- Minimum of 1 year field experience.
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork.
Responsibilities
- Assist PMs and TMs in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
- Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation; supervise subcontractors.
- Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
- Write technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
- Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling; regional travel 1–2 days per week; occasional US travel.
