Job summary

Insight Global is seeking Level 1 Deployment Technicians to support a large-scale endpoint modernization initiative across Washington. You will assist with device swaps and deployments for desktops and laptops, help with setup and basic imaging, and perform initial checks before end-user handoff.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on work, strong customer service, and adhering to established procedures.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience as PC/computer technician or similar role.
• Familiar with LAN/WAN networks troubleshooting concepts.
• Knowledge of computer systems and IT components.
• Understanding of remote PC troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and customer service skills.
• Exceptional organizing and time-management skills.
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field or a combination of relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds -Experience working in a healthcare environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) will be an advantage.
• Exposure to device deployments or refresh projects.
• Familiarity with Windows environments and workstation setup.
• Ability to follow standard deployment processes and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with device swaps and deployments for desktops and laptops across assigned sites.
• Support device setup and installation, including cable management and workstation configuration.
• Perform basic imaging and configuration tasks following established procedures.
• Conduct initial functional checks (login, peripherals, connectivity) prior to user handoff.
• Provide basic troubleshooting support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with printer and peripheral setup, including monitors, keyboards, and docking stations.
• Support asset tracking and inventory updates, ensuring accurate documentation of deployed devices.
• Document tasks, issues, and resolutions within tracking systems.
• Deliver strong customer service when interacting with end-users during deployments.
• Escalate technical issues beyond scope to Level 2 technicians or leads.
