Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Roswell, GA seeks an Endoscopy Technician I with minimal endoscopy experience to support nurses and physicians in GI procedures. You will prepare rooms, assist during procedures, handle scope reprocessing, transport patients and maintain supplies while upholding infection control standards.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, assisting during procedures, and maintaining GI department safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.

• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in all general endoscope procedures, equipment, and supplies including cleaning endoscopes and accessories.
• Fulfills all essential functions of the GI Lab Technician; Works in all Endoscopy lab areas.
• Prepares for scheduled and urgent endoscopic procedures; ensures equipment and supplies are ready; guides less experienced team members.
