Wellstar Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to support GI procedures and endoscope reprocessing. You will assist nurses and physicians, prepare rooms, and ensure safety and infection control in a fast-paced GI setting.
No prior endoscopy experience is required; candidates must complete 2-day endoscopy education within 30 days of hire and obtain BLS certification. The role includes after-hours call as needed and collaboration with the GI team.

The Endoscopy Technician I have either no experience in endoscopy or is a novice in the endoscopy setting. The technician assists the nurses and physicians in providing care for the endoscopy patient. They must complete competencies for all basic GI procedures and scope reprocessing. The Technician also supports the area with duties that include, but are not limited to preparation of the procedure room and sterile field to ensure a safe patient care environment including gathering all required instruments and supplies and serving as an endoscopy procedure assistant. The job also includes transportation of patients and equipment, stocking/maintaining supplies, care and maintenance of endoscopes and their accessories contributing to the daily functions of the unit. They have strong sense of infection control in the GI setting.
