Job summary

Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA seeks an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians in endoscopic and interventional cases. You will maintain supplies and equipment, and ensure cleanliness and infection control in the Endoscopy Department.

You will provide patient care under RN direction, perform necessary clerical duties, and help assemble and maintain patient charts while ensuring accurate records and timely charges.

Qualifications

• Education credentials: GED or high school diploma; GI/OR Tech program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' Endoscopy Tech experience required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required at hire; GTS/AGTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in endoscopic and interventional cases.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to policy.
• Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Perform clerical duties to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy.
• Assemble and maintain patient chart material and records; keep workstation clean.
• Complete charges for patients.
