Job summary

RTX is seeking a software engineer for the Space and RF Sensors Software team in the United States. You will design, code, integrate, and test real‑time embedded software for radar, sensing, and fire‑control systems, advancing next‑gen defense capabilities.

Join a highly collaborative team; work across the software lifecycle with multidisciplinary experts. A DoD Secret security clearance is required, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this U.S.-based role. Onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited institution, with degree obtained by start date.
• Experience developing, and testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar object‑oriented language.
• Real time embedded software development experience; familiarity with Python scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; able to work in a team development environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions.
• Investigate issues and develop resolutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Assist in deriving system and software requirements, architecture, and analysis.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software for RF/radar sensing.
• Participate in peer reviews and technical decision making with multidisciplinary teams.
