Job summary

Adams Electric Company in Greensboro, NC is seeking an entry-level Junior Estimator to join the Preconstruction team. You will help develop competitive proposals and estimates for electrical projects, learning from experienced Estimators and supporting the full estimating cycle including takeoffs and template setup.

You will use Bluebeam, Accubid and Building Connected to analyze plans, prepare quantities and assist in pricing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; an Associates Degree is preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant construction experience in electrical contracting preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Estimating software (Accubid, Building Connected) and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Initiate template folders, BlueBeam, and Building Connected at project start.
• Meet deadlines and provide accurate information.
• Conduct initial drawings/specifications analysis to extract required data.
• Assist in developing cost estimates by obtaining pricing from vendors/subcontractors.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and unit prices for review.
