Job summary

Pitt Electric, located in Garner, NC, seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. You will analyze blueprints, specs, and documentation to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical installations and collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients and suppliers to ensure financial viability and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of electrical estimating experience, familiarity with Accubid or equivalent bidding software, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with bidding software is essential.
• Experience with Accubid or equivalent bidding software; Procore and Bluebeam a plus.
• Strong reading of blueprints, schematics and NEC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements from blueprints, specs, and documents to define scope and materials.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials and equipment.
• Generate bid proposals and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to clarify details.
• Research market prices and labor rates to keep estimates competitive.
• Maintain records of estimates and project performance for improvement.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and estimate accuracy.
