Job summary

Adams Electric Company is seeking dynamic and talented estimators interested in a career in Preconstruction, to develop competitive proposals and estimates for exciting electrical projects making an imprint on the community for future generations. The role will involve full cycle estimating, analyses of drawings and specs, cost takeoffs, and training junior estimators.

You will collaborate with senior leadership and participate in design‑assist stages, while meeting tight deadlines and visiting

Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical construction estimation experience.
• Ability to read plans/specs for select disciplines.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Accubid, AutoCAD, PowerPoint; estimating and scheduling software a plus.
• BS in Construction Management or Engineering preferred (5+ years’ experience in electrical construction also be considered in lieu of a degree)

• Responsible for the full cycle of estimating and analysis, with support and oversight from Sr. Estimator
• Conduct analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required information is provided
• Develop cost estimate by soliciting specific pricing from vendors and/or sub-contractors
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and unit prices for review with Senior Chief Estimator and/or Vice President of Preconstruction
• Train and lead Junior Estimators in their growth and learning, including leadership and hands‑on experience
• Participate in design‑assist project stages
• Must meet critical deadlines and provide accurate information
• Periodically visits jobsites

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the full cycle of estimating and analysis, with support and oversight from Sr. Estimator

Required Skills –
