Job summary

TechServ Engineering is seeking an entry-level Engineering Technician/Designer for the Electrical Distribution team in Texas. After 2–3 weeks of hands-on training, you will work under project coordinators to create designs for electrical distribution, transmission, and substation projects. Travel about 20% is required.

Growth paths include Technician II and beyond. The role emphasizes teamwork in an open office setting, with training on proprietary CAD software and collaboration with Engineers

Qualifications

• Entry-level engineer technician/designer with hands-on training provided.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and MS Office preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to prepare designs for new builds, alterations, and redevelopments with Engineers.
• Perform design changes and updates using client standards and NES procedures.
• Review drawings for quality, accuracy, and adherence to budgets and schedules.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan projects and ensure compliance with design codes.
• Travel to regional job sites as required (about 20%).
