Job summary

TechServ in Beaumont, TX is seeking an Entry-Level Engineering Technician/Designer for the Electrical Distribution team. You will complete hands-on training, obtain industry certifications, and learn the client's CAD software while supporting design work for newbuilds, alterations, and redevelopments.

This in-office role offers growth into advanced technician levels, teamwork with engineers, and travel about 20% to regional sites.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Ability to collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers
• Knowledge of electrical design is a plus

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software for client projects (newbuilds, alterations, redevelopments) with Engineers
• Execute electrical design assignments using standard drawings and NES procedures
• Make changes to designs and markups on ongoing projects
• Analyze reports, drawings and tests to plan and design projects
• Interpret and apply design codes and specifications
• Review drawings for quality within scope, budget and schedule
• Assist with project setup in PM systems and data entry
• Travel to regional job sites (~20%)
