Job summary

TechServ is hiring an entry-level Engineering Technician/Designer for the Electrical Distribution team in Texas. You will undergo 2–3 weeks of hands-on training, earn industry certifications, and become proficient with the client’s CAD software.

After training, you will support design work for newbuilds, alterations, and redevelopments under supervision. You’ll collaborate with Project Coordinators and Engineers across planning, site evaluation, design analysis, and construction documentation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Drafting/Design Technology preferred.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel, is important.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to create designs for newbuilds, alterations, and redevelopments, coordinating with Engineers.
• Perform electrical design tasks using standard drawings and NES procedures.
• Apply redlines and mark-ups to designs as projects evolve.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, specs, budgets and schedules.
• Assist with project setup in PM systems and ensure accurate data entry.
