Job summary

Han-Tek Inc. in Honeoye Falls, NY seeks an entry-level Jr Electrical Controls Engineer to support design, development, and implementation of AMH control systems. You will work under senior engineers and gain hands-on experience with conveyors, AS/RS, and robotics, contributing to safe, reliable automation solutions.

Domestic travel 15-40% may be required for site visits and commissioning. A strong foundation in electrical concepts and PLCs is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic electrical concepts and circuits.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15-40% of the time.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for critical system support, as required.
• Exposure to industrial robotics/vision systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and technical teams on AMH projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to understand the project lifecycle from design through commissioning.
• Support the engineering team with technical documentation and project details.
• Interact with customer engineering teams under supervision.
• Assist in design and development of control systems for AMH equipment.
• Create and organize control system documentation, including reviews of electrical schematics and I/O drawings.
• Identify sensors, actuators, VFDs, servo systems used in AMH applications.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for control components.
• Support installation and commissioning plans.
• Provide on-site support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Learn how safety standards and risk assessments are incorporated into designs.
