Job summary

Han-Tek Inc. in Honeoye Falls, NY, seeks a Solutions Development Engineer to translate customer needs into viable automation designs and lead proposals.

You will drive RFQ analysis, site surveys, and integrated layouts, partnering with engineers and vendors to deliver robust, cost-aware solutions. As the technical architect of our sales process, you will guide concepts from screen to shop floor, applying ROI models and leveraging your expertise in conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, and automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in industrial automation or solutions development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks, Excel/SQL data analysis, and WMS/WCS interfaces preferred.
• Ability to engineer creative solutions within the physical and operational constraints of existing facilities.
• Strong ability to bridge the gap between sales goals and engineering execution through clear technical writing and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• RFQ analysis to identify core requirements and risks.
• Requirement validation with clients to ensure scope alignment.
• Layout design using AutoCAD for new and brownfield spaces.
• Evaluate AS/RS, robotics, conveyors for throughput and space needs.
• Data analysis of material flow and orders for opportunities.
• Lead site surveys to gather measurements and constraints.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing and specs.
• Lead proposal development and budgeting for custom components.
• Present solutions with ROI models to clients.
