Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction, ideal for recent graduates or newcomers to the field. You will help identify abnormalities and participate in patient care with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

This part-time role (30 hours weekly, 3/10 shifts) is based at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. The team emphasizes mentorship, collaboration and ongoing skill development for career growth.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams consistent with department protocols in a timely manner.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by educating patients and families and following patient identification processes.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and related information; apply charge codes as needed.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.
