Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; education from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with staff and patients.
• Prepare patients and educate on procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams per department protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and apply charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, work area and supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment and technique.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide education for caregivers, fellows and students as appropriate.
