Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for exam protocols in the department.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, and patients.
• Prepare for exams by patient identification, education, and transport.
• Perform ultrasound exams in accordance with protocols and in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while achieving quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and relevant information, and apply charge codes.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; support quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
• Provide education to other caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
