Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams for patient diagnoses. Ideal for recent echocardiography program graduates or those new to the field.

Part-time, 30 hours, 3/10 shifts, on-call duties; on-site at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. Responsibilities include scheduling exams, coordinating with staff, educating patients, documenting results, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for performance protocols in the department.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients and educating on procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams in line with department protocols and within timelines.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes during exams.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and supplies; assist with repairs as needed.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.
