Job summary

Exelon is seeking an entry level Distribution System Operator in Joliet, IL. You will dispatch resources, plan and load work for qualified crews, and monitor outages to keep the electric distribution system safe and reliable.

Responsibilities include coordinating emergency responses, maintaining logs, and directing tagging and clearance activities. A readiness to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or higher in engineering/tech related field or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and judgment.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and manage stressful situations while shifting between tasks.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and allocate resources to address electric emergencies.
• Schedule and dispatch planned and emergent work with proper outage comments in OMS.
• Draft work requests for electrical distribution equipment repairs.
