Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Distribution System Operating Supervisor to direct field personnel in the safe, cost‑effective operation of the subtransmission and distribution system to ensure continuous electric service and timely restoration for customers.

Responsibilities include analyzing complex anomalies, dispatching crews, supervising and mentoring DSOS I staff, coordinating maintenance, writing switching orders, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; BS preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience in distribution, dispatch, or electric operations.
• Pass the SO/PD II Test is required.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, analyze, and resolve complex anomalies on the electric distribution system.
• Dispatch and direct field personnel in response to system emergencies.
• Supervise, train, and counsel field personnel for safe, reliable operation.
• Coordinate maintenance and restoration activities on subtransmission and distribution systems.
• Write and dispatch switching orders and maintain records.
