Job summary

Boss Shop is hiring an Entry Level Shop Technician to perform entry level mechanical repairs in a timely and professional manner at our Elkton, MD location. You will complete training programs, assist with preventive maintenance, tire services, and basic electrical work while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes.
• Performs preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
• Greases trucks and trailers.
• Performs tire repair, replacement, and related services.
• Conducts CSA inspections and emergency road service calls.
• Perform basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements.
• Perform minor trailer maintenance and body repairs.
• Conducts basic air system repairs, including airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, and splices.
• Performs battery testing and replacement.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.
• Ensures all tools, equipment, and service vehicles are clean, functional, and properly maintained.
