Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician C to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You’ll assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and related equipment, learning under experienced Master Technicians.

This role offers hands-on training, safety-focused work, and a clear path to Diesel Technician B and A as you grow your skills. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of mechanical experience or equivalent hands-on training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Technical school training or ASE certificates preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Learn to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Document repair orders, inspections, maintenance records, and parts usage.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
