Job summary

TravelCenters of America in Sparks, NV is hiring a level one Truck Service Technician. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers, delivering service that keeps travelers on the road. You’ll work with a team in a busy environment and follow safety guidelines every day.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and prior truck service experience is preferred. ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior verifiable truck service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Heavy duty ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded.
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide.
• Diagnose wear conditions and, with TSA or Manager, make recommendations to customers.
• Complete repairs within capabilities and as written; understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
