Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Level 1 Technician for our Truck Service team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers at multiple locations, delivering professional service to travelers.

You will work with managers to advise customers and perform repairs within your capabilities while following safety guidelines. The role requires good communication, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior verifiable truck service experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• ASE certifications not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide
• Diagnose wear conditions and together with TSA or Manager, makes recommendations to customers
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services andspecialized customer programs
• Follow safety guidelines and reports potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
