Job summary

Vermeer All Roads in Castleton, NY is seeking an Entry Level Heavy Equipment Technician to repair Vermeer machinery. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience or completed trade school and are mechanically inclined for a hands-on shop role.

Responsibilities include service, repair, and diagnostics with opportunities to learn welding and gain certifications. Company supports training, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate starting at $20/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or trade school in diesel/heavy equipment.
• Mechanically inclined and ready to work in a shop environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer Equipment.
• Communicate and follow instructions from senior techs and service manager.
• Learn to diagnose equipment malfunctions, hydraulics and electrical knowledge helpful.
• Welding as needed.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of all repairs performed.
• Assist in creating estimates for repair cost.
• All other duties as assigned.
