Job summary

Vermeer All Roads in Seymour, CT is seeking an Entry Level Heavy Equipment Technician to repair Vermeer machinery. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with 2+ years of experience or completed trade school and is eager to grow in a hands-on role.

This full-time position offers $20/hr+ based on experience, Monday–Friday, 7 am–5 pm, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and an employee referral program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or completed trade school in diesel/heavy equipment.
• Mechanically inclined and able to learn repair techniques.
• Experience with diesel/heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer Equipment.
• Communicate and follow instructions from senior techs and service manager.
• Learn to diagnose equipment malfunctions, hydraulics and electrical knowledge helpful.
• Welding as needed.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of repairs performed.
• Assist in creating estimates for repair cost.
• All other duties as assigned.

We are searching for an Entry Level Heavy Equipment Technician to repair Vermeer machinery and components. The ideal candidate is currently in a Tech role repairing diesel/heavy equipment and has 2+ years of experience/trade school.

Compensation & Schedule

• $20/hr+ based on experience
• Monday - Friday, shop hours 7 am - 5 pm
