Job summary

All Roads, an Avon, NY-based Vermeer dealership, is seeking a Diesel Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. You will work hands-on in a collaborative service environment, focusing on quality repairs and efficient field support.

The role requires strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostics, welding ability, and accurate repair documentation. Competitive hourly wage, bonuses, and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, electrical, and hydrostatic diagnostic capability.
• Proficiency with repair documentation (CDK experience preferred).
• Welding ability and safe work practices.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions; hydraulic and electrical experience required
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
• Perform effective welding as needed
• Create accurate repair estimates within work orders
• Maintain detailed repair records in CDK Global
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation & Schedule

• $27–$35/hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (for qualified candidates)

Physical Demands
