Interstate Power Systems is looking for Entry Level Diesel Technicians at our Grand Forks, North Dakota location. If you are seeking a career with valuable on-the-job and classroom training, we want to hear from you!

Scheduled Shift: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $22 - $29 per hour DOE

Mechanic Job Duties:

• This is an entry-level position, developing and learning a skilled trade while working with Factory Trained/Certified Technicians.
• Perform entry-level troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks.
• Complete PM work, oil changes, lights, A/C, brakes, tire changes, basic tech work!
• Receive training to grow into a full diesel technician.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty components.
• Maintain positive interactions with service writers, foremen, parts department, and customers.
• Keep paperwork updated and submit upon completion.

Desired Skills and Qualities:

• Technical degree or certification is a plus.
• Positive attitude with goal-setting and achievement ability.
• Desire to pursue certification opportunities for updated product training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Position Requirements for Mechanics:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to learn and develop skills with heavy-duty trucks.
