Interstate Power System's is looking for Entry Level Diesel Technicians at our Grand Forks North Dakota location. If you are looking for a career that will provide you valuable on-the-job and classroom training, then we want you!

Scheduled Shift: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $22 - $29 per hour DOE

Mechanic Job Duties:

• This is an Entry Level position, developing and learning a skilled trade while working with Factory Trained/Certified Technicians.
• Entry level troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks.
• PM work, oil changes, lights, A/C, brakes, tire changes, basic tech work!
• Will train and grow entry level techs into full blown diesel techs.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty components.
• Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department, and customers.
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.

Desired Skills and Qualities:

• Technical degree or certification a plus.
• Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them.
• The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Position Requirements for Mechanics:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A strong desire to learn and grow your technical skill set with heavy-duty trucks.
• Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Must have your own set of general tools.
• Use computers for web-based training and work order system.
• Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
