Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking entry-level Data Center Cable Technicians for a long-term data center construction project in El Paso, TX. This contract-to-hire role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with early start times and potential overtime as experience grows.

No prior data center experience is required, but candidates with hands-on trades can qualify for higher pay. OSHA 10 is preferred or obtainable before starting. Join a scalable, physical role within a growing industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pulling and routing low voltage cable throughout the data center.
• Assisting experienced technicians with installations.
• Installing Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling systems.
• Mounting cable trays, racks, patch panels, and network hardware.
• Using hand and power tools safely.
• Climbing ladders and working at varying heights.
• Supporting the buildout of telecommunications and network infrastructure.
