TEKsystems is hiring an Entry-Level Data Center Cable Technician for a long-term data center construction project in El Paso, TX. The role focuses on pulling and routing low voltage cable, assisting experienced technicians, and installing Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling in a live data center environment.

This contract-to-hire position offers daytime hours, with potential overtime and paid benefits for eligible employees.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route low voltage cable throughout the data center.
• Assist experienced technicians with installations.
• Install Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling systems.
• Mount cable trays, racks, patch panels, and network hardware.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Climb ladders and work at varying heights.
• Support the buildout of telecommunications and network infrastructure.
• Organize materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Learn industry-standard structured cabling installation practices.
