Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Civil/Geotechnical/Dams Engineer in Clarksville, TN. You will work under a senior engineer and collaborate with project managers and professionals across offices to tackle diverse civil/geotechnical projects.

The role emphasizes data gathering, field verification, and preparation of reports; travel to project sites may be required as you support dam and levee safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• M.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical or structural focus is preferred.
• Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office and AutoCAD skills are required.
• Occasional out-of-town and/or out-of-state travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, interpret, and present data for civil, environmental, and geotechnical projects.
• Perform calculations and analyses under supervision and prepare calculation packages.
• Prepare drafts of field reports and inspection/engineering reports.
• Assist in design drawings, technical specs, cost/quantity estimates, and permit applications for heavy civil projects.
• Conduct dam and levee safety inspections and site visits as needed.
