Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. seeks Civil Engineers with 5+ years of experience to join the Dam and Levee Safety Group in Clarksville, TN. You will work under a Senior Dams/Geotechnical engineer and collaborate with PMs and principals across offices.

Ideal candidates have strong civil/geotechnical/structural backgrounds, proven project management, and experience in dam/levee safety, inspections, and rehabilitation projects. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
M.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical/structural focus preferred.
Professional Engineer license required with ability to obtain TN licensure.

Responsibilities

Performing/managing dam and/or levee safety inspections.
Supervising fieldwork including subsurface explorations, instrumentation installations, surveys, and underwater inspections.
Overseeing resident engineering/construction monitoring for dam/levee projects and dam removals.
Supervising data collection, analysis, and interpretation for dam/levee evaluations and rehabilitation projects.
Performing seepage, slope stability, toe drain, and gravity dam analyses.
Coordinating hydro/geo analyses for spillway evaluations and emergency planning.
Preparing inspection reports, permits, technical proposals, and budgets.
