White Lodging invites you to launch your culinary career as an entry-level cook at Yacht Club inside Hotel Trinity, Autograph Collection in downtown Austin, TX. The program offers hands-on training in a pre-opening setting, focusing on seafood, oyster bar, and upscale dining.

No prior restaurant experience is required; we train the right candidate with passion and a strong work ethic. This role provides growth across multiple hotels in the Austin market and comprehensive development

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant or hotel kitchen experience required; passion for food and willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
• Foundational skills in sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery.
• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred; training provided.
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace in a high-volume kitchen.
• Active unexpired Food Handler's Certification.
• Prior hotel culinary experience preferred (Marriott Autograph Collection, luxury hotels, or upscale seafood).

Responsibilities

• Train as a Culinarian learning and practicing full duties of a professional cook.
• Follow all F&B procedures and health dept regulations across every shift.
• Practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation per HACCP and brand standards.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards.
• Check ingredient freshness and follow recipes, oyster bar specs, and portions.
• Monitor guest feedback to influence food quality rankings.
• Foster cooperation and respect among coworkers in a pre-opening kitchen.
