Job summary

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma's Durant dining program is hiring an Entry Level Cook 1 across multiple venues. This FT role provides hands-on kitchen experience in a high-volume setting, under the Sous Chef, focusing on quality, efficiency, and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking using grill, fry, bake, steam, and braise methods, seasoning and presenting dishes, following recipes, maintaining cleanliness, labeling and storage, and supporting setup and cleanup to ensure

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain).
• 6 months of culinary experience OR equivalent culinary education/experience.

• Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, slice, peel, etc.).
• Cook food using a variety of methods (grill, fry, bake, steam, braise, boil).
• Ensure food is properly seasoned, garnished, and visually appealing.
• Follow standardized recipes and preparation methods.

• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation.
