Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations and quality control.
• Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, slice, peel) according to recipes.
• Cook using grill, fry, bake, steam, braise or boil methods.

What You'll Do

As a Cook 1, you'll work under the direction of the Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, and safety.

• Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, slice, peel, etc.)
• Cook food using a variety of methods (grill, fry, bake, steam, braise, boil)
• Ensure food is properly seasoned, garnished, and visually appealing
• Follow standardized recipes and preparation methods
• Taste food prior to service to ensure quality
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist with kitchen setup, service, and cleanup
• Minimize waste through proper portioning and production levels
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
